The Helly Hansen Canadian Sailing Team Send Off to Rio

The Canadian Sailing Team members and their coaches heading to Rio 2016 were honoured at a reception at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club and hosted by official Sail Canada sponsor, Helly Hansen Canada. The Team was introduced to the media and dignitaries and later presented to the crowd of well wishers on the lawns of the RCYC over looking Toronto Harbour. Among the encouraging crowd were many Olympians and medal winners in attendance, including Paul Henderson wearing his red team blazer from the 1968 Games in Mexico City, Paul Davis, John Kerr, Dennis Toews, John Milne, Frank McLaughlin, Terry McLaughlin, Martha Henderson, Jen Provan.

At the height of our fantastic summer, the Canadian Chris-Craft Rendezvous drew 18 vintage boats, including two from our neighbours to the south, to Telegraph Harbour Marina July 19-21.
