Carole Fontaine, aka “The Sailing Yogi,” loves to share her adventures from 20 years of living aboard a sailboat. With 20,000 nautical miles under her belt, she has triumphantly embraced the art of navigating the currents of life with ease and grace.

Carole is a Canadian from Cowansville, Quebec and her husband is from Granby, Quebec. After sailing and living aboard in Florida and cruising extensively for 25 years (20 of them on the boat) they sailed north and landed in Maine a few years ago. They now split their time between their houses in Lac Brome, Quebec – where Eric boated as a kid – and in Shapleigh, Maine.

Carole is author of the bestselling series “SAIL Above the Clouds.” She is a student of holistic and yogic philosophies and certified in Mindfulness Life Coaching, Meditative Writing, Shakti Dance Yoga, and Reiki Master Teacher. She speaks and shares her sailing and life experience and coaches women to harness their personal power and inspire their lives.

SAIL – Each book in the four-book series represents a unique aspect of the author’s signature program S.A.I.L: Simplify, Align, Integrate, Let Go. At the end of each chapter, readers benefit from tips and insights on all aspects of their lives while exploring different healing modalities, writing prompts, and self-discovery exercises.

Join Carole as she moves onto a boat, adapts to a new lifestyle, learns hard ‘beginner’ lessons, sails the breathtaking ocean, survives gale storms, and navigates life for 20 years in a meager 41 feet of living space with an unconventional husband and, of course, a dog.

S.A.I.L. Above the Clouds weaves big emotions, humorous impasses, and motivating results through topics such as overcoming major health concerns and chronic disease, tackling mental health, surviving the doldrums of a 30-year marriage, discovering life’s purpose, and learning when you’re the crab’s dinner, or receiving a naked spank from Mother Nature.

If you’ve already had firsthand experience with a pontoon, you will easily understand the appeal of the Bennington 22 MSB. But if you haven’t, let’s start by reviewing a few of the reasons why pontoon boats have become top sellers in markets across North America.

Pontoon boats began in the early 1950s as basically four steel drums lashed to a frame. They were not unlike the log rafts of ancient cultures and not much more sophisticated at first.

The Best of Two Worlds

By Mathew Channer

Interior British Columbia might not be as famous for recreational boating as Canada’s Great Lakes, yet it is no less a world-class boating destination. The mountains offer their own flavour of marine adventure with their series of long, deep ribbon lakes, and there is perhaps no area that embodies this more uniquely than the iconic Okanagan basin in southern B.C. One could be forgiven for assuming this valley was purpose-built for nautical fun, with a few delightful perks thrown in to make the area entirely irresistible (wine-tasting, anyone?).
