Skyline Marina Presents – LADIES AT THE HELM! July 8 & 9/11 Bayport Marina

alt

LADIES ONLY! This is an opportunity to learn how to be comfortable behind the helm of your boat.

Join us at the second annual LADIES AT THE HELM and spend some time learning the basic handling skills that will make you more able at the helm and give you a better understanding of how to manoeuvre a pleasure boat.

Our expert instructors, on beautiful Sea Ray boats – both single engine and twin engine with Axius – Joystick technology, will make docking and general operation a much less daunting task and, with some practice, there’s no reason for you not to feel comfortable in taking your friends out for an afternoon on the water.

We are happy to be able to offer four sessions for either single or twin engine operation. The date/times are: Friday July 8th 1-4pm and 5-8pm / Saturday July 9th 9am-12noon and 1-4pm. The event will take place at Bayport Yachting Centre, 156 Marina Park Drive, Midland. There is NO CHARGE but you must register as space is limited. To register please call 877-759-8333 x 100 or email info@skylinemarina.com  with your first and second choices and whether you need instruction on single or twin engines and please indicate whether or not you have experience handling a boat.

We must stipulate that ONLY participants with a valid Please Craft Operators Card will be able to take the actual helm.
We look forward to seeing you and helping to give you the confidence to truly be a “Lady at The Helm”.

So when I heard that Pride Marine in Orillia, Ontario, had a Nimbus 365 Coupe in the water, I jumped at the chance to get out on it.

Tahiti—Updates from Paradise

Lounging on the flybridge of our Sunsail 454, I had time to think about this dichotomy as I toasted the nighttime skies of Bora Bora and specifically the Southern Cross, a constellation that never fails to hypnotize. As the Crosby, Stills & Nash (1982) tune reminds us:
