Race the Beautiful North Channel

North Channel Race Week is a sailing race thru the North Channel for five legs during the third week of July with bot Spinnaker and JAM divisions.
For 2017 the Week runs July 17 to 21 with five races and marina stopovers over five days. The route, through Ontario’s beautiful North Channel arm of Georgian Bay, starts at Hilton Beach then on to Thessalon, Blind River BRYC, Spragge NCYC then to Gore Bay and Little Current LYC on Manitoulin Island.
This is non-profit event is sponsored by a variety of northern sailing clubs including the Algoma Sailing Club, the Little Current Yacht Club, Blind River Sailing Club and the North Channel Yacht Club. The event encourages all size of boats over 26’ in several different divisions. As much as there is a racing component, this is also very much a sailing social scene with several event meals throughout the event. The five days are all daytime.
