Lynda Green prend sa retraite après plus de 20 ans de service

CPS-ECP, maintenant Canboat / NautiSavoir, a grandement bénéficié de la présence de Lynda au sein de son personnel du Bureau national depuis plus de 20 ans. Son travail s’est étendu à de nombreuses personnes de l’organisation, y compris des bénévoles, de nouveaux membres et des étudiants. Elle a veillé à ce que toutes les commandes soient expédiées en temps opportun, elle a travaillé avec les éscadrilles tout au long de l’année pour traiter plus d’un millier de nouvelles adhésions et délivrer près de deux mille certificats de gallons de mérite, ainsi que de s’occuper d’une multitude de demandes de renseignements et d’inscriptions de cours de la part des éscadrilles et des étudiants.

The Erie Canal – An Extraordinary Waterway

As I shift our chartered canal boat into neutral, I’m soothed by the soundtrack of bird calls, the occasional plaintive horn of a distant train and the hum of our engine.

I reach for the VHF to radio the lockmaster in charge of Erie Canal’s Lock 32 dead ahead. Our boat spins gently in the current like a maple key in a mud puddle.

“This is Onondaga,” I say. “Headed westbound and requesting passage.”
