La 2e étape a débuté au Globe40 pour Whiskey Jack

La deuxième étape du Globe40 a débuté le 14 septembre pour toucher Mindelo (Cap-Vert) avec une arrivée prévue autour du 20 septembre pour ensuite viser l’île de la Réunion avec un départ le 2 octobre. Pour cette étape, la navigatrice canadienne Melodie Schaffer fait équipe avec la Française Julia Virat.

L’arrivée des concurrents à La Réunion est estimée autour du 1er novembre 2025. Ce sera ensuite le départ de la 3ème étape vers Sydney en Australie, le samedi 22 novembre 2025.

Tahiti—Updates from Paradise

I’ve been to Tahiti seven times—six on charter and once as crew for a couple of yachties. Over the 25 years that I’ve been visiting, it’s changed dramatically. Yet, inexplicably, it has also stayed the same.

Lounging on the flybridge of our Sunsail 454, I had time to think about this dichotomy as I toasted the nighttime skies of Bora Bora and specifically the Southern Cross, a constellation that never fails to hypnotize. As the Crosby, Stills & Nash (1982) tune reminds us:
