Sail Nova Scotia will be celebrating 10 years of the very successful WOW! Women on Water program with an afternoon celebration on Saturday, April 22 from 3-5pm at the Armdale Yacht Club in Halifax. Hear about the exciting programs and events for female sailors this year and learn more about the bursary program and the Pamela Lerch Cup. On top of that they will draw for some prizes and there will be complimentary snacks.

It’s free to attend and all are welcome. Good times guaranteed! RSVP to the Sail NS office if you’re planning to attend.

Spotted! Canadian Boating in Antigua & Barbuda

I wore my Canadian Boating cap everywhere I went in Antigua, for the sun, not for the shout-outs. But I sure received a lot of them.

Antigua Sailing Week is an international regatta that draws sailors of every level and spectators from all over the world. Yet I couldn’t walk across a room without being hailed by a Canadian who was as excited to see my cap as they were to see the racing. I met many who were on their 3rd, 4th and 5th visit.
