Passing of our leader

Friday May 16th, 2014

Friends…

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Ted passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2014. As many of you know, it has been a difficult struggle for both Ted and Jan since his stroke almost 5 years ago… but even so he kept on adding value to every one’s lives right until the end.

At some point in the not too distant future we will find a way to celebrate his life and achievements properly.

Please check back with Canadian Yachting to learn of memorial arrangements.  To read more about Ted and his life visit:

Yet I couldn’t walk across a room without being hailed by a Canadian who was as excited to see my cap as they were to see the racing. I met many who were on their 3rd, 4th and 5th visit.
