There is a new boat show on Georgian Bay! Parkbridge Marinas have partnered with Pride Marine Group and Crate’s Lake Country Boats to host an exciting new “Welcome to the Water” In-Water Boat Show May 30th through June 1st at Bay Port Yachting Centre, Midland. This event will feature a wide variety of recreational watercraft – both power and sail. The Mariners Marketplace will offer a wide assortment of boating related products, accessories and “all things nautical”.

This “Welcome to the Water” In-Water Boat Show will offer exciting content to promote the boating lifestyle. There will be a Kids Fun Zone, Fishing Seminars and Ontario Fishing Pros on our Fishermen’s Wharf, Wakeboard Show by Muskoka Wake and Discover Boating with free boat rides.
 
Also, for your enjoyment and to kick off the 2014 boating season, we will be hosting a VIP Night on Friday May 30th from 6-9pm with refreshments, appetizers, a steel drum band and a chance to chat about all things boating with the pros!

Tahiti—Updates from Paradise

I’ve been to Tahiti seven times—six on charter and once as crew for a couple of yachties. Over the 25 years that I’ve been visiting, it’s changed dramatically. Yet, inexplicably, it has also stayed the same.

Lounging on the flybridge of our Sunsail 454, I had time to think about this dichotomy as I toasted the nighttime skies of Bora Bora and specifically the Southern Cross, a constellation that never fails to hypnotize. As the Crosby, Stills & Nash (1982) tune reminds us:
