5th Annual Women-On-Water Regatta

Wow 2015

 

On June 20th, 2015 the Etobicoke Yacht Club hosts the Women on the Water Regatta.

This regatta is for beginner and seasoned racers.  It is the perfect environment to develop and strengthen skills while creating a strong community.  Our goal is to get women more comfortable with being out on the water” says Lori Mason, a founder of WOW “and it’s always a great day when you are out on the water”.

Registration Fees (including dinner)

White sail or Spinnaker Divisions
Skippers with a boat: $20
Crew: $25
Dinner Guests: $15

Tahiti—Updates from Paradise

I’ve been to Tahiti seven times—six on charter and once as crew for a couple of yachties. Over the 25 years that I’ve been visiting, it’s changed dramatically. Yet, inexplicably, it has also stayed the same.

Lounging on the flybridge of our Sunsail 454, I had time to think about this dichotomy as I toasted the nighttime skies of Bora Bora and specifically the Southern Cross, a constellation that never fails to hypnotize. As the Crosby, Stills & Nash (1982) tune reminds us:
