Time is running out for those members who have not registered in the new CPS-ECP database or renewed their membership in 2020. This special window of opportunity to renew without having to reapply for membership ends August 31, 2021. The Membership Recovery Project provides a no penalty opportunity for those who have not Registered in the new Database system and renewed their 2020 membership, to receive the special benefit of having their membership renewed until 2022.

Register First – The member first needs to go to the CPS-ECP website: www.cps-ecp.ca / select Register / then complete the login process as a Returning User.

Renewing Your Membership – After completing the updating of their profile, the member needs to send an email to: membership-renewal@cps-ecp.ca. Be sure to include your certificate name and membership number in the subject line. In the body, please provide us with your contact information. You will them be contacted and assisted to renew your membership. If you do not have online access, you can contact the National office at 1-888-277-2628 Ext 2176, and ask for assistance. Be sure to leave your name and phone number with the answering service so your call can be returned.

Renewing your membership today, provides you with access to the CPS-ECP Member Benefits and the special Member pricing for all of the courses Education provides. Also, you will be able to participate in the 2021 Virtual National Conference in October.

Spotted! Canadian Boating in Antigua & Barbuda

I wore my Canadian Boating cap everywhere I went in Antigua, for the sun, not for the shout-outs. But I sure received a lot of them.

Antigua Sailing Week is an international regatta that draws sailors of every level and spectators from all over the world. Yet I couldn’t walk across a room without being hailed by a Canadian who was as excited to see my cap as they were to see the racing. I met many who were on their 3rd, 4th and 5th visit.
