You can be at any of the sessions within one minute at the click of your computer or tablet in the comfort of your own home! With this ease, you can attend the sessions of your choice and especially the Annual General Meeting of CPS-ECP. No meetings or sessions will start prior to 1200 EST.

Keynote Speaker – Gaurav Shinde

The long tradition of introducing dynamic and accomplished personalities to CPS-ECP members will continue at the 2021 National Conference and AGM when Gaurav Shinde delivers the keynote address on Saturday, October 16 at 1600, EST.

A member of the London Power and Sail Squadron, Gaurav will speak to his preparations and hopes for the 2022 Golden Globe Race that begins September 4, 2022, departing from Les Sables d’Olonne, France. Aboard Good Hope, a 1980 TaShing Flying Dutchman 35, Gaurav will sail unassisted non-stop around the world without the benefit of modern navigation technology. Since its inception, just six sailors have finished the race.

Tahiti—Updates from Paradise

I’ve been to Tahiti seven times—six on charter and once as crew for a couple of yachties. Over the 25 years that I’ve been visiting, it’s changed dramatically. Yet, inexplicably, it has also stayed the same.

Lounging on the flybridge of our Sunsail 454, I had time to think about this dichotomy as I toasted the nighttime skies of Bora Bora and specifically the Southern Cross, a constellation that never fails to hypnotize. As the Crosby, Stills & Nash (1982) tune reminds us:
