Cold Water Immersion Workshops

The Canadian Safe Boating Council will be hosting 1-day (General Interest) and 2-day (instructor) Cold Water Immersion/Rescue Workshops on September 15th& 16th from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Classroom (morning) sessions will take place at BAIE DE BEAUPORT
(1 Boulevard Henri-Bourassa, Ville de Québec, QC G1J 1W8)

Practical (Dockside) afternoon sessions will take place at the Old Port of Québec City.

Cost:

 1-Day (General Interest)   $185 (September 15TH)
 2-Day (Instructor)     $400 (September 15th& 16TH)

Registrants should bring their own lifejackets. Please advise should you need one to be supplied.

Cold water Workshop topics include: Mechanisms of Heat Loss, Thermal Protection Realities, Extraction Techniques, Triage of Hypothermic Victims, Re-Warming, Packaging, Transport and more.

The Instructors’ Course will provide the tools you need to successfully teach first responders the proper rescue and re-warming techniques that are necessary to help save lives.

Sessions will be in English with active French translation.

Destination: Trent Severn Waterway ONE MORE TIME!

Just when you thought you might never see the Galley Guys again, there they were waving from the flying bridge of a Le Boat Horizon 3 gliding down the Trent Severn Waterway (TSW) in the sun. Glorious!

In the past the Galley Guys have travelled far and wide to great locations to explore the good life on a boat. However, this year we stayed in our own backyard for a real treat; cruising The Trent Severn Waterway.
