Volunteer

June 26, 2025

Note: There are 4 categories to be recognized, however, only those marked in red are based on submitted nominations.

  • CSBC Certificate of Service (Eligibility: Directors/Officials of the council).

Awarded to each outgoing Director/Official with a minimum of 2 terms of service (e.g., Upon retirement from service, a certificate is awarded giving the name of the individual with years of service)

  • CSBC Milestone Award (Eligibility: Directors/Officials of the council)

Awarded to each outgoing Director/Official with a minimum of 5 terms of service (e.g., Upon retirement from service, a certificate is awarded giving the name of the individual with years of service).

Broad in scope, this descriptive award is given for outstanding meritorious service that furthers the mission of the CSBC. The recipient could be an individual, group, business, or associate of the council. Nominations can be drawn from any quarter as long as the volunteer components serve the mission of the CSBC.

A most coveted award: this citation is given for superior meritorious volunteer service, a body of work, and/or for consistent leadership, innovation or accomplishment that directly relates to the mission of the CSBC. (e.g., Many years of superior service to the council and its mission)

(Note: The “Certificate of Appreciation” was phased out 9 May 2012 on the recommendation of the CSBC Executive and ratified by a vote of the CSBC).

Please note that nominations must be received by Thursday, July 10, 2025.

We anticipate making the presentations at the symposium in Kingston, ON.

Any suggestions or comments are welcome.
Thank you.
