The Largest Boat Show on the Gulf Coast will feature new powerboats, debuts, cruising and sailing seminars.

More than 400 power and sailboats and 250 exhibitors will be on display when The 42nd Annual St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat Show takes place Dec. 5-8. With an expanded exhibition tent, impressive selection of new boats, and a multitude of special events, the largest boat show on the Gulf Coast will have plenty of action for visitors to enjoy.

This year’s show will featuring some of the most exciting new powerboats of 2019, including the highly-anticipated 70E Ocean Alexander, a striking 70-foot motor yacht that delivers megayacht comforts by combining power, luxury, and advance design with the highest performance standards; and Marlow Yacht’s head-turning Marlow Explorer 66E, an enclosed bridge motor yacht that boasts classic brand hallmarks and a beautiful teak-paneled pilothouse. Additional new boats on display include the Grady-White 456 Canyon, Regal 38 XO and the Tiara Sport 43 LS, which will be exhibited by Quality Boats.

Making their West Coast show debuts are Princess Yacht’s captivating Princess S66, a 66-foot elegantly designed sportbridge launched by UK’s leading luxury yacht manufacturer; and Viking Yacht’s Valhalla V-37, a versatile 37-foot boat that can serve as a luxury sport cruiser or as a hardcore fishing boat.

Expanding its list of exhibitors, this year’s show will also feature boats from local custom builder, Dorado Custom Boats, for the first time. Founded in 1986, Tarpon Springs-based Dorado Boats is known for using high quality materials and the latest and best rigging components, stainless hardware, and accessories. Dorado will be exhibiting the Dorado 16 Skiff, Dorado 23 SE, Dorado 23 Pro Guide and Dorado 25 Flat Deck.

In addition to the new powerboats, an impressive selection of sailboats, family cruisers, runabouts, fishing boats, sailing yachts, and personal watercrafts will also be on display. Additional highlights include:

• An expanded 47,557-square-foot exhibition tent housing a wide selection of the latest in marine gear, accessories and technology.

Kids’ Fishing Clinics, conducted by Captain Don Dingman and presented by the non-profit, Hook The Future, will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 7-8, for children ages 4-16. The first 250 participants receiving a free rod and reel.

The show starts today, Thursday, Dec. 5 through Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019 at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts, Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin and Albert Whitted Park (next to the Dali Museum) in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Just when you thought you might never see the Galley Guys again, there they were waving from the flying bridge of a Le Boat Horizon 3 gliding down the Trent Severn Waterway (TSW) in the sun. Glorious!

In the past the Galley Guys have travelled far and wide to great locations to explore the good life on a boat. However, this year we stayed in our own backyard for a real treat; cruising The Trent Severn Waterway.
