For our last Photo of the Week in 2017, I have picked some nice shots we received – one from the east coast and a couple from the west. The notes that come with them sum it up the whole POTW idea beautifully.

Thanks to everyone who sent along shots in 2017.

Send your photos to cyonboard@kerrwil.com with POTW in the subject and we’ll get them into the publication in 2018! Thanks in advance.

After securing my sailboat’s berth at the local dock for the season, at took a ride with my cousin in his power boat and snapped this great shot. CANSO Nova Scotia (most north eastern point of mainland in North America)

Hi from Comox Vancouver Island.

I have a Hunter 31 and am constantly taking high quality pics of boats from mine, so have a lot to choose from!

To start here is one I took from my boat in the marina yesterday, Oct 25.

Comox Valley Marina.

This one (below) was taken off Tree Island on the north end of Denman Island, Vancouver Island.

Taken in September this year by me.

Cheers

Until now, there hasn’t been an electric boat that really makes a statement. Enter the ENVGO NV1.

Canada’s Superior: the North Shore

Story and photos by Jennifer M. Smith

We’d been north before on a short two-week cruise. At the time, we were unprepared for the isolation, the lack of cell phone coverage, and the spotty VHF reception. Since then we’ve repowered, installed Starlink, and retired from work. Now, with confidence in our engine and our connectivity and more time to sail, we were Superior-ready.
