Shellbacks to celebrate George Cuthbertson

We will be celebrating the life of George Cuthbertson at the Shellbacks Luncheon at RCYC City Clubhouse on November 29th. It was George’s wish that there not be a formal Celebration of his Life, but the family has agreed that we can pay tribute to George and his accomplishments at Shellbacks on the 29th.

Shellbacks is a weekly luncheon gathering with a speaker, that takes place every Wednesday at noon at the RCYC City Clubhouse at 141 St. George Street, Toronto. My presentation on the 29th was to focus on the CCA and IOR designs on display in the model room at RCYC, so turning that into a tribute to Big George is more than appropriate. The response to this event has been very strong and it is currently oversubscribed. There will be a report on the event in the next issue of CYOB

Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
