5 from RNSYS To Represent Canada at Youth Worlds

Sail Canada announced the athletes and coaches who will be leading Team Canada at the Youth Sailing World Championships to be held in late July in Corpus Christi, Texas. Twelve athletes will compete, five of whom are members of the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron.

Tayte Stefaniuk will compete in the Laser Radial Boy, Helen Horangic will skipper the Nacra 15, Jack Groves and Alex Fraser will team up in the 420 Boys, while Madeline Gillis will compete in the 420 Girls.

Tahiti—Updates from Paradise

I’ve been to Tahiti seven times—six on charter and once as crew for a couple of yachties. Over the 25 years that I’ve been visiting, it’s changed dramatically. Yet, inexplicably, it has also stayed the same.

Lounging on the flybridge of our Sunsail 454, I had time to think about this dichotomy as I toasted the nighttime skies of Bora Bora and specifically the Southern Cross, a constellation that never fails to hypnotize. As the Crosby, Stills & Nash (1982) tune reminds us:
