Victoria Classic Boat Festival - Express Hotel

By Andy Adams

The Pacific Northwest on both sides of the border is blessed with an enormous number of traditional boats of all descriptions. Then, there are some amazing maritime non-profit organizations including the Maritime Museum of BC, Port Townsend Wooden Boat Foundation, SALTS, Seattle Centre for Wooden Boats, Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre, Victoria Tall Ships Society, Silva Bay Shipyard School and the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding to name a few, who support these traditional craft.

Of course, the boat owners make it all possible! So, plan to attend and enjoy this year’s Victoria Classic Boat Festival from September 4th – 6th, 2015 in Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour.

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom.
