Canadian Boating occasionally sends out surveys so we can develop the editorial that will deliver the best possible read for our audience. When we did that recently, we also invited you, our readers, to send along some stories and anecdotes. We were extremely impressed by the response and the quality of your submissions.

The first two of those submissions was published in December and this one last issue

Look for more in your upcoming OnBoard issues:

Encounters with one of many beluga whales in the Saguenay Fjord!

One morning we were heading up the Saguenay Fjord. We were fortunate to be passed by 60 or more beluga whales as they were taking their grey calves down to the St. Lawrence! They follow so closely to the boats. It was incredible and the area is beyond spectacular.

We started on a Macgregor 26’ in 2008 which we took all over. In 2017, we trailered it to Tadoussac where we had an incredible adventure up the fantastic Saguenay Fjord in the midst of all the whales and high cliffs.

Our home port is now Whitby on our 2018 42’ Bavaria Vision, Esmeralda.
