Ontario Sailing and PCYC hire Thomas Fogh as Development Coach

Ontario Sailing and Port Credit Yacht Club (PCYC have announced that Thomas Fogh will join the Ontario Sailing staff fulltime starting April 17th 2017. Thomas will be working as a Development Coach stationed at PCYC from mid April to Mid September each year.

During the winter Thomas will work with Ontario Sailing to strengthen our Double handed 420 program, and deliver in club programs such as “Ontario Sailing University” which was launched in 2016 and work to mentor Sailing Coaches in the province.

Thomas is a well-known athlete and coach with top three World Championship results. He was a member of both the National Sailing Team and the Ontario Sailing Provincial Team. Thomas is a certified Sail Canada Coach and has coached at the Pan Am Games, Canadian Youth Championships as well as many Canadian and North American Championships.

Thomas will be joining Provincial coaches Chris Cowan and Chris Hewson along with contract coach Rob Frost and a team of coaches from Ontario’s clubs to help accelerate athlete results in Ontario offering coach mentorship not only at PCYC but also across the province.

Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
